Yellow Berlin

The title of this animated cake project is sort of an inside joke. A common type of bun with (usually pink) sugar topping is called "berliininmunkki" in Finnish, translating roughly to "Berlin bun". So naturally the topping is to be called "Berliini" (Berlin), right? ;-)

An experiment on physics, animation and fluids in a less common setting, the videos are still not very final in my opinion. I'm not very satisfied with any of the versions published here (they all have their own strengths and weaknesses), and I'll probably play a bit more on the subject later on, maybe publishing new videos on the way.

Partly based on earlier "Box of Light". The "ghostly cube" visible in a certain part of video #02 is a tool used for focusing the camera, and actually not supposed to be visible. I just happened to leave the wrong setting on when rendering.

Created using Blender 2.79 and rendered using the Cycles engine in 800x800 pixels, 192 samples per pixel, denoising enabled.
