Myla

This is a project for creating a new human character called Myla (= merciful, a friendly name for someone this challenging). At this point she's still in pretty basic form, and I've concentrated on getting her face, skin and hair somewhat right. The initial background has been adapted from the older project "Cliché Anhydre", and an earlier revision of Myla's head model was used in "Time Is Running".

The idea here has been to try and recreate a sufficiently realistic (but still quite inevitably stylized) "hand-sculpted" human model completely in Blender+Cycles using only procedural materials for skin etc. instead of utilizing photographs, scanning or other graphics applications. As you can see, the result is still far from being very convincing, and I might not have a lot of time to use on this, so progress can be slow. But time will tell, and anyway, after these initial efforts, I decided to start following Myla's development also here on ArtStation.
