Time Is Running

This project actually started from modeling the face of the character (a precursor to what would later become Myla), and expanded to something more via the expression that formed on her face during the process.

The resulting fairly dystopian but at the same time somewhat comical work is kind of a portrayal of a contemporary "puppet-like" type of anxiety: constantly feeling a lack of time and a need to be on the run (partially controlled by electronic applicances and digital services). Acting and feeling busy without really realizing why, not taking the time needed to stop and navigate properly, which in turn can make the vicious circle even stronger.

Processing-heavy volumetrics and simulation were used for fire & smoke effects. Elements from an earlier project were used for "an electronic effect". Two versions are included for the time being, one with a "waxy" and the other with a "plasticky" look for the woman/puppet character's body/clothing (and some added electronics etc.).
